Hope Times to Host Annual Staff Dinner and Award Night

As the year comes to a close, Hope Times Newspaper is gearing up to host its highly anticipated Annual Staff Dinner and Award Night on 27th December 2025, at the prestigious WMA Conference Hall. The event promises an evening of celebration, recognition, and inspiration, reflecting on the newspaper’s remarkable achievements and the outstanding contributions of its staff throughout the year.

The highlight of the evening will be the Awards Ceremony, where exceptional staff members and distinguished personalities from various sectors will be honored. Among the key awards are recognition for excellence in journalism, leadership, corporate responsibility, and public service. The awards underscore Hope Times’ commitment to acknowledging dedication, professionalism, and innovation that drive national development.
Adding prestige to the occasion, the Keynote Address will be delivered by Dr. Walton, Managing Director of Rokel Commercial Bank, whose insights on leadership, innovation, and national development are expected to inspire the audience. In addition, Mrs. Jeneba J. Bangura, Commissioner General of the National Revenue Authority (NRA), will serve as Guest Speaker, addressing staff on the crucial topic: “The Role of Media Practitioners and Institutions Towards Taxpayers.” Her speech is expected to provide valuable perspectives on collaboration between media and government institutions for public awareness and accountability.

A major highlight of the night will be the official launch of Hope Times’ new media project for 2026, a milestone initiative aimed at promoting public awareness, civic education, and responsible journalism across Sierra Leone. The launch will be carried out by Mr. Brima Baluwa Koroma, Director General of the National Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NPRA), marking a significant partnership between the media and national development institutions.
The event will also witness the presence of several high-ranking government officials, industry leaders, and corporate partners, reflecting Hope Times’ strong network and commitment to fostering collaboration for national growth. The gathering provides an opportunity for networking, sharing best practices, and building strategic partnerships that advance journalism and public service.

All staff members are encouraged to attend and are permitted to bring one guest free of charge, while additional guests may join by purchasing tickets.
