Madam Dumbuya Gifts Moyiba Children

The Moyiba community in Port Loko was filled with excitement and joy on the evening of Thursday, March 19, 2026, as children gathered to receive a special Eid gift from Madam Rugiatu Kemoh Dumbuya The atmosphere was lively, with laughter and celebration echoing through the community as each child was presented with newly sewn clothes, carefully tailored to their individual measurements. The thoughtful gesture brought smiles to many young faces and created a memorable moment for families in the area.

Madam Rugiatu Kemoh Dumbuya, a respected figure in Port Loko District, is widely known for her philanthropic efforts and steadfast commitment to community development. With over two decades of consistent support for humanitarian initiatives, she has earned a reputation as a compassionate leader and community champion. Currently serving as the Lands Commissioner for Port Loko District, she continues to demonstrate excellence in addressing land administration issues while maintaining a strong connection with the people she serves.

Speaking to Public Trust Media during the event, Madam Dumbuya emphasized that her gesture was driven by love rather than obligation. She stated, “I am not doing this because your parents or guardians can’t provide, I am doing this because of the passion and love I have for children. Today is not the first, but almost the fourth year I am doing this kind of gesture.” She further explained that her generosity extends beyond Eid celebrations, noting her continued support during other occasions such as Easter and similar events.

She encouraged the children to embrace the spirit of the celebration with confidence and pride. “This is just a little act of kindness, and I am wholeheartedly willing to maintain my course of serving humanity, promoting societal progress, especially children. Let’s get ready. Dress well to pray tomorrow morning,” she remarked warmly. Her words resonated deeply with both the children and their families, reinforcing her dedication to uplifting young people in Port Loko and beyond.

Parents and guardians expressed heartfelt appreciation on behalf of their children, acknowledging the positive impact of Madam Dumbuya’s generosity. Approximately forty children benefited from the distribution, engaging joyfully with one another as they admired their new outfits. The event not only provided material support but also strengthened community bonds, leaving a lasting impression of kindness, unity, and hope in the Moyiba community.
