Panel of Aspiring Leaders (PAL) has successfully concluded a free public speaking training programme for 13 brilliant girls of the FAWE School in Port Loko, marking another major stride in its mission to nurture confident young leaders across Sierra Leone.

The closing session was graced by the Deputy Mayor of Port Loko, Her Worship Madam Aminata Bangura, and the Plan International Port Loko PIIA Manager, Mr. Ismail Bai Sanu, whose presence added immense inspiration to the event. Despite the short notice, both leaders made time to motivate the girls, urging them to speak boldly, aspire for leadership, and champion positive change within their communities. Their visit brought joy to the school, broke usual protocols, and created a warm and empowering space for learning.
PAL also officially launched a new PAL School Club at FAWE, a move aimed at ensuring continuous mentorship, leadership grooming, and engagement for the beneficiaries. All 13 participants proudly received certificates after successfully completing the intensive public speaking training.
Immediately after the FAWE engagement, PAL’s Executive Director, Ambassador Sallieu, proceeded to Doris & Dora School, where he served as Chairman during their prefect inauguration ceremony. He used the platform to address young people and parents on pressing societal concerns, particularly the dangers of Kush and other harmful drugs.

PAL extended heartfelt appreciation to Ambassador Mohamed Samura, whose unwavering financial support often given without request continues to make youth empowerment activities possible.
The Panel of Aspiring Leaders reaffirmed its commitment to raising confident speakers, bold leaders, and inspired change-makers across Sierra Leone.
