On July 12, 2025. In a significant boost to grassroots football in Kambia District, the Kambia District Football Association (KDFA) has received five brand-new motorbikes to support the administration and development of the game across the region.
The donation comes through the President of the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA), Mr. Thomas Daddy Brima, who continues to show commitment to strengthening football structures at the district level under the broader guidance and support of FIFA.
During a brief but impactful handing-over ceremony, the District Football Chairman, Mr. Musa K.D. Mahmood, officially received the motorbikes on behalf of the association. He expressed profound gratitude to the SLFA Executive for their continued support and vision for football development.
“We are truly grateful for this timely intervention,” said Mr. Mahmood. “These motorbikes will greatly ease transportation challenges faced by our district football officials, especially in reaching rural communities to monitor and coordinate football activities. We thank Mr. Thomas Daddy Brima and his executive for recognizing the needs of Kambia District.”
The support is part of a broader effort by the national football leadership to decentralize resources and ensure all districts have the tools necessary to develop talent, improve governance, and enhance the game at all levels.
Community stakeholders, local coaches, and club representatives have welcomed the initiative, describing it as a major step forward for football in Kambia.
