Sierra Leone’s Vice President, Dr. Mohamed Juldeh Jalloh, on Tuesday, 18th November 2025, warmly received Liberia’s Inspector General of Police, Hon. Gregory O. W. Coleman, at his OAU Drive office in Freetown reaffirming the strong human bonds and historic friendship between the two Mano River nations.
The visit forms part of the Liberian Police Chief’s four-day working mission to Sierra Leone, designed to deepen bilateral cooperation and enhance security coordination between the two police institutions.

Welcoming the delegation, Vice President Jalloh who also chairs the Police Council expressed deep delight at hosting the team. He highlighted that Sierra Leone and Liberia share far more than geographical proximity; they share people, culture, intertwined histories, and an unbroken tradition of solidarity.
“Welcome, welcome to all of you, to Sierra Leone,” he said warmly.
Reflecting on long-standing ties, VP Jalloh recalled shared experiences in both Freetown and Monrovia, stressing that the familiarity between the two countries provides a strong foundation for enhanced security partnership. He emphasized that the relationship is deeply human, shaped by common struggles, collective resilience, and mutual aspirations for peace and progress.
He underscored that collaboration between the “two sister countries” offers significant opportunities for improving cross-border crime prevention, elevating policing standards, and advancing citizen safety across the Mano River region.
“We value this relationship, and we believe we have a lot in common. If we work together, we can achieve a lot for our people,” he noted.
In his remarks, Liberia’s Inspector General Hon. Gregory O. W. Coleman expressed profound appreciation for the warm reception and reaffirmed Liberia’s commitment to deeper, more strategic cooperation.
The meeting concluded on a cordial and brotherly note, with the Vice President extending warm greetings from His Excellency President Dr. Julius Maada Bio to Liberia’s President, His Excellency Joseph Nyuma Boakai, while calling for sustained unity, trust, and shared purpose in advancing peace and security between the two nations.
