SHADE (SL), GERMAN PARTNERS CELEBRATE NEEDY CHILDREN

Self Help and Development Everywhere Sierra Leone (SHADE SL), a local non-governmental organization, with generous support from its German partners, Astrid Friedreichs, Uta Lange, Sandra Lange, Christian Lange, Axel Sietas, Sabine Limberg, Ole Hengelbrock, Ralf Lunstedt, Manuela Fischer, Adriana Hansch and above all, the Yillah family has successfully hosted its Annual Party for Needy and vulnerable Children in Kambia district.

The colorful event, held on Saturday, 20th December 2025, in Kambia Town, brought together over one hundred children from underprivileged backgrounds for a day filled with joy, laughter, and meaningful interactions.

 The celebration was aimed at creating a memorable and uplifting experience for the children, many of whom rarely have the opportunity to enjoy such moments of happiness.

The party featured a variety of exciting activities, including games, music, dancing, and live entertainment, which kept the children cheerful and fully engaged throughout the day. It also brought various speakers to mentor the children on drug abuse like Kush, violence and the importance of the girl child education.

Refreshments, gifts, and educational materials were also distributed, putting smiles on the faces of the beneficiaries.

Giving the opening statement at the event, the Chief Organizer, Alhaji Kolleh Yillah expressed heartfelt gratitude to their German friends and also his family for their continued support and commitment to improving the lives of vulnerable children in Sierra Leone.

He reaffirmed the organization’s dedication to promoting child welfare, education, and community development across the district and country at large.
