Emmanuel Thomas, appeared before Magistrate Siao Mamakoh Kallon at Pademba Road Court No. 3 in Freetown yesterday and was sentenced to 12 months imprisonment on one count of larceny, contrary to Section 2 of the Larceny Act 1916.
According to the indictment, the defendant Thomas, on Monday, 29th December 2025, along Mountain Court, Freetown, stole a Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra valued at twenty-one thousand Leones, the property of Moses Kamara. The complainant, Moses Kamara, testified in court that the defendant took the phone without his consent, causing him distress and inconvenience.
The prosecution presented all necessary documents to the defendant, and after hearing the facts of the case, the magistrate found Thomas guilty as charged. He was accordingly sentenced to 12 months imprisonment.
