Hope Media S/L has officially opened nominations for the maiden edition of the National Legacy Awards 2026, a nationwide initiative established to recognize and celebrate outstanding individuals, institutions, organizations, and businesses making meaningful contributions to national development.
The prestigious awards ceremony is scheduled to take place on Friday, 6th November 2026, and is expected to bring together leaders, professionals, entrepreneurs, policymakers, and other distinguished personalities from across Sierra Leone.
According to the organizers, the National Legacy Awards aims to honor excellence, innovation, leadership, professionalism, humanitarian service, and transformative contributions across various sectors of society. A total of 25 awards will be presented to deserving recipients whose work has demonstrated exceptional impact and inspired positive change within their communities and the nation at large.
The award categories span several fields, including leadership, media, entrepreneurship, education, healthcare, governance, technology, banking, entertainment, legal practice, and community development.
Hope Media S/L announced that nominations officially commenced on 1st June 2026 and will remain open until 1st July 2026. Members of the public are encouraged to actively participate by nominating individuals and institutions they believe have distinguished themselves through service, achievement, and dedication to national progress.
Speaking on the significance of the initiative, the organizers noted that the awards are intended to promote a culture of excellence, accountability, and national transformation through recognition and appreciation of those creating lasting positive impact in Sierra Leone.
