The organising team for the Made in Makeni All Fields of Life Awards (MAFOLA) has unveiled Minister Timothy Musa Kabba as the keynote speaker of its first-ever edition.
The historic event is scheduled for Saturday, December 20, 2025, at the University of Makeni Auditorium.
Min. Timothy Musa Kabba, Sierra Leone’s current Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Corporation, has strong ties to Makeni City and is a proud alumnus of St. Francis Secondary School.
He generously donated the sum of ninety-nine thousand leones (NLe 99,000) to school teachers during the recent St Francis’ 67th celebration and had previously supported the construction of the science teachers’ quarters.
Beyond his palpable contributions to the growth and development of St Francis Secondary School, Minister Timothy Musa Kabba is also financing the construction of a clock tower in the historic and renowned Makeni town square.
Alimamy Kamara, Chief Executive Officer at Made in Makeni, said the award, themed: “Peace in Action: Together We Build a Better Makeni”, is designed to honour and motivate the services of individuals and institutions for their selfless contributions to the development of the city.
He added that the award categories cover all sectors, including health, education, the legal profession, public service, sports, arts and entertainment, among others.
Made in Makeni’s drive to honour community champions on merit rather than voting prioritises impact over popularity.
